Temple visit

On the fourth day, we will be taken to the black sandstone temple Ponjok Batu, which is one of Bali's most important ocean temples. Here we will have the opportunity to experience a Balinese Hindu purification ceremony. this is a very important ceremony that the balinese people themselves, only experience once in their life time.

Day in contemplation.

After the purification ceremony, we will experience a day of silence. This is a great opportunity to concentrate on the divine within. Silence can help us reach another level of consciousness and a better understanding of ourselves and where we are at.

A buffet is served twice daily, which includes a selection of delicious healthy, nutritious and balanced vegan dishes from Indonesian cuisine. Where possible, they use ingredients sourced from their own organic gardens around the site or from local markets. On the terrace, guests are free to help themselves to mineral water, green and herbal tea, Balinese coffee and cocoa throughout the day. If you wish to order freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juices, lassies and specialty coffees, this is also possible.

It will be possible to arrange other activities, such as visiting a shamanistic spiritual guide, visiting a local healer, cooking and weaving courses. Dolphin watch and trekking on volcanos.

Yoga platform

One side of the yogaplatform is completely open, facing a lotus-filled pool with lush green surroundings. here we will enjoy our long morning Yoga sessions, deeply connected to nature.

Hiking trails

There are hiking trails criss-crossing the mountains surrounding our retreat center, ranging from gentle walks to more strenuous all-day treks. You can Explore the four-hectare property, trek along the ridge of the mountains down to the Yeh Lalang River, or travel through the traditional villages, temples, orchards and jungle canyons on foot. Serious mountain bikers can bash down muddy tracks and rough village back roads, or follow the road up to mountain villages for stunning views across Madenan.

Use of chemicals is minimized. The water at the retreat center is untreated and comes from a natural source. The swimming pool is a salt water pool and they have built a waste water basin to filter gray water. The organic gardens produce delicious vegetables, according to the principles of reuse and recycling. The use of electricity is sparing – the center uses low consumption light bulbs and natural ventilation instead of air-conditioning. In line with this holistic approach.

Saltwater pool

The saltwater pool is built on a mountain terrace with the most beautiful view over the green plantations, where the distant ocean meets the sky. You can do yoga on the wide stone terrace or just relax and enjoy the sun and the beautiful surroundings.

Revitalize body, mind and soul at the Rainforest Spa. Choose from a variety of South East Asian, Indian and Western inspired beauty and health treatments.
